Choosing a wedding photographer can be a dicey task, as each one has a personalized style and technique, but when it came to selecting Blair Gable as ours, it was the easiest task to cross off our wedding list! After witnessing his work at a good friend’s wedding two years prior, it was easy to feel confident in entrusting him with our photo memories. Justin and I met with Blair a year before our wedding and immediately knew that this was our guy; we couldn’t have been more comfortable and excited about working with him. In the days leading up to the wedding, Blair was very organized and assertive, as well as very attentive to what we wanted from our photos; his work was important to him, and our photos were important to us! As a photojournalist, he stylistically is set a part from your average wedding photographer and told a story through our photos with candid, intimate, and spontaneous shots. Our wedding day came and we were very excited to have Blair capturing all the memories and moments – he fit right in with family and friends and was more than just a photographer! I would highly recommend Blair (and have eagerly done so!) to any bride and groom as he is a truly unique, talented and special photographer. We received all of our pictures in a short time after the wedding and were blown away. We can’t decide on a few to print – we want to print them all! Blair, thank you for making our wedding day that much more special and allowing us to fondly look at the story of our day unfold so beautifully.

Simply stated, Blair is awesome. We were impressed with his professionalism throughout and thrilled with the end result. We can unnabashedly recommend him. In the months since our wedding, Mike and I have found it a favorite pastime to look over the beautiful and unique wedding photos that Blair took for us. The day itself felt like a whirlwind, and it is a pleasure to be able to look back on its events again and again at a more leisurely pace. Blair was very accommodating, and found an artful way to capture the balance we were hoping to achieve by holding our unconventional wedding at the Chateau Laurier, a most conventional place. The excitement of the engagement was followed by a million different thoughts about cakes, guests, flowers-the list was endless. We were trolling the Weddingbells message boards looking for good references on photographers; after a lot of reading and investigating of other photographers that were mentioned, found one reference to a couple who had booked with Blair and whose wedding was coming up. We were looking for someone who would shoot the wedding in what we understood to be a true ‘photojournalist’ style, with a lot of good candid shots rather than anything too contrived. We were impressed with the portfolio work that we saw on Blair’s website which led to scheduling a meeting to review our requirements. Unlike some of the other photographers we met with, we found Blair to be very straightforward, unpretentious and were pleased with his responsiveness in terms of post meeting followups. We were also particularly interested in using Blair due to his flexibility in regards to the provision of personal use rights for the digital photos, which was a very important determining factor to us – we can look at our wedding photos from our computers on a regular basis, which increases our enjoyment of the photos tremendously. We were very pleased with how the day went and how the photos turned out. Blair was very easy to work with and was able to accommodate the range of photographs that we were looking to capture.
